AmICovered is an online tool designed to help New Zealanders assess whether they may need to review their insurance cover. We do not provide financial advice. Instead, we connect users with licensed financial advisers who are authorised to provide personalised advice.

By using AmICovered, you understand that the information provided on this site is general in nature and does not take into account your personal financial situation or goals.

Who Provides the Advice?

AmICovered is an independent business that does not provide financial advice. Instead, we operate as a referral platform that helps connect New Zealanders with licensed financial advisers.

All financial advice is provided by advisers who hold the appropriate Financial Advice Provider (FAP) licence.

Currently, AmICovered refers enquiries exclusively to:

• Pulse Advice Limited – Financial Advice Provider, FSP 1008630

If you choose to be contacted, your enquiry will be passed to an adviser from Pulse Advice, who will then take you through the advice process in accordance with their own disclosure obligations and licensing requirements.

How Am I Covered is Paid

AmICovered receives a fee for connecting enquiries with licensed financial advisers. This fee is paid by the adviser or their business when a referral is made — you are not charged for using the AmICovered service.

This referral fee does not influence the advice you receive. Advisers we work with are required to act in your best interests and follow all applicable legal and ethical obligations under the Financial Markets Conduct Act.

Conflicts of Interest and Fair Treatment

While AmICovered receives referral fees from the financial advisers we work with, we are committed to connecting you only with licensed advisers who are qualified to assist based on your needs. We do not favour one adviser over another based on commission or incentives.

Advisers are required to put your interests first and disclose their own potential conflicts of interest as part of the advice process.

The director of Am I Covered Limited is also a director of Pulse Advice Limited. While the two businesses operate independently, this relationship is disclosed to ensure full transparency. Any advice provided through Pulse Advice is subject to that business’s own obligations and licensing requirements.

If your concern relates to the financial advice you receive from an adviser, it should be raised directly with the adviser or their Financial Advice Provider (currently Pulse Advice Limited), who will have their own complaints process in place in accordance with FMA requirements.
